Upon arrival at Srinagar’s Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport—considered among the most scenic flights globally—you will be welcomed by our representative. Srinagar, also known as the "City of Saints and Sufis," serves as the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. From here, begin your journey to the serene town of Pahalgam, famously referred to as the "Valley of Shepherds." Located at the confluence of the Lidder River and Sheshnag stream, this picturesque town (altitude 2,130 meters) was once a simple pastoral village. Now, it is a favored tourist destination known for its stunning landscapes, treks, and as a base for the Amarnath Yatra. It’s also a popular location for Bollywood film shoots. On arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time by the tranquil riverbanks. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2

Pahalgam – Local Exploration (On Your Own / Optional Tours)

After a relaxed breakfast, spend the day at your own pace exploring the charm of Pahalgam. You may choose to visit Chandanwari, situated 16 km away and the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra. Another beautiful destination is Aru, 10 km from Pahalgam, known for its lush meadows and as the starting point for treks to Kolahoi Glacier, Lidderwat, and Tarsar Lake. Don’t miss Betaab Valley, a cinematic landscape named after a Bollywood movie.
Day 3

Pahalgam to Gulmarg (Approx. 148 km / 4–5 hrs)

Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the enchanting hill station of Gulmarg, meaning "Meadow of Flowers." Situated at an altitude of 8,700 ft, this town boasts the highest 18-hole golf course in the world and is a renowned skiing destination. Historically known as Gaurimarg, it was renamed in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, inspired by its floral beauty. The place was a favorite of Emperor Jehangir, who once collected numerous flower species from here. On reaching Gulmarg, check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4

Gulmarg – Leisure Day & Gondola Ride (Optional)

After breakfast, spend your day exploring Gulmarg. A ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, is highly recommended. It ascends to nearly 4,000 meters and offers panoramic views. Winter transforms Gulmarg into a haven for extreme sports enthusiasts, with ski slopes and off-piste trails attracting professionals from across the globe. Adventure seekers can ski from Kongdoori or take on the slopes of Mount Affarwat. Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5

Gulmarg to Srinagar – Sightseeing Tour (Approx. 54 km / 1–2 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Srinagar. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Later, explore the famous Mughal Gardens—Nishat Bagh ("Garden of Pleasure"), built by Asif Khan in 1633, and Shalimar Bagh ("Garden of Love"), established by Emperor Jahangir for his wife Noor Jahan in 1619. Also visit Chashmashahi, known for its refreshing spring. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake, witnessing floating gardens and diverse bird species such as kingfishers, kites, and grebes. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6

Srinagar – Day Trip to Sonamarg (Approx. 87 km / 2–3 hrs one way)

After an early breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, which translates to “Meadow of Gold.” En route, enjoy scenic views of pine forests and towering mountains. Sonamarg is a base for various treks, alpine lakes, and glaciers. You can hire a pony or vehicle (at own cost) to visit the stunning Thajiwas Glacier, a popular summer attraction. Return to Srinagar by evening for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7

Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will be transferred to Srinagar airport in time for your flight to your onward destination. We thank you for traveling with Mountain Trails Kashmir and hope to see you again!
